Quesnel Hospice Palliative Care Association’s auction, dinner and dance set for Feb. 3

Annual auction a popular event, so public encouraged to get their tickets now

This year is the 17th Annual Quesnel and District Hospice Palliative Care Association auction, dinner and dance with a Hearts for Hospice theme.

There will be baskets, balloon pop, 50/50 and more along with fabulous auction items ready for heavy paddle action.

Included in the many items up for bid is a Silver Star Package, including three nights and eight life tickets thanks to Mike and Dawn Barber; there’s an 18K white gold diamond ring courtesy of the Breeze; and a road trip package valued at $1,000 courtesy of Autow/BCAA.

“We are so excited and honoured to have these donations for our fundraiser,” event co-ordinator Sherry Webster says.

“So many amazing donations coming in. We have local ranches donating meat packages/products, including Fox Dairy Farms, Diamond Island Cattle Co., North Ridge Cattle; Stirrup Ranch and Koster Farms.”

Webster adds the auction also features amazing local artists, craftsmen and businesses.

Tickets, at $50, are going fast, so the public is encouraged to secure their tickets right away. You can call 250-985-5816 to reserve tickets.

“We will also be accepting E-transfer with pick up of tickets at the door or visit Circle S Western Wear for tickets.”

On Feb. 3, doors open at 5:30 p.m. for review of auction items and appies; dinner is served at 6:45 p.m. catered by Cricket 14; and dancing begins at 9 p.m. with Dance the Night Away DJ Services.
