Children in need of toys in Quesnel will have a new way to get them.
The Quesnel School District and the Quesnel and District Child Development Centre are partnering to develop a library of toys, with a $1,500 donation from the Rotary Club of Quesnel.
The district shared the news on Facebook on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
The toys will be switch adapted according to the post.
“Switch adapted toys and devices support the development of communication skills, motor skills and social skills as well as allowing children to independently engage with their environment,” the post reads. “We are very excited to begin this project.”
The post says toys are available to kids with complex needs between 2 and 18 years old.
