The Quesnel RCMP is hosting its annual Stuff A Cruiser Campaign again this year to support local families in need over the holidays.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., local Mounties will be set up in the Walmart parking lot at 890 Rita Road to accept donations, including non-perishable food, unopened toys for children ages 6 to 12, winter clothing and hygiene products.

According to a news release, the goal of the campaign is to stuff a police cruiser full of donations. Items received will then be provided to the Quesnel Salvation Army, the Senior’s Voice Society, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Quesnel.

“The holiday season can be a difficult time of year for many families,” said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch. “We’re hoping to do our part to help out some of these families in need of assistance.

If you cannot attend and wish to make a donation before the event, donations will be accepted at the Quesnel RCMP Detachment, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
