Quesnel RCMP's Stuff a Cruiser a massive success

The campaign collected over 2,000 lbs of food

The Quesnel RCMP is thanking the people and businesses of Quesnel for supporting its annual Stuff a Cruiser campaign.

Mounties from the Quesnel detachment and volunteers were set up at the Walmart parking lot on Dec. 7 and 8. This is the fifth year of the Stuff a Cruiser event. They accepted donations of non-perishable food, clothing, toys, pet food and cash to support local food banks, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Senior's Voice Society.

This year the Stuff a Cruiser Campaign raised:

  • $4,583 in cash and gift cards
  • 2,028 pounds of food
  • Over 800 individual toys (equalling 1,060 pounds)
  • Numerous personal hygiene and clothing donations.

The Quesnel RCMP would like to thank Walmart for the use of their lot, the staff and community volunteers that donated their time to help with the event as well as all those who assisted with donations.

"We would like to offer a special thanks to Active Rent-All who not only donated the use of an enclosed trailer and equipment each year, but also provide a large donation of items to support the event," said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch in a news release. "This event would not be successful without the amazing support from the community."
