One of the joys for the tenants at Maeford Place Assisted Living for Seniors is listening to music.

Live music in particular really perks them up and smiles can be seen lighting the place up when a band comes to play for them.

Many local acts take turns volunteering their time.

Gospel Singers, The Ukulele Group, Anne’s Piano, the Windy Reeds, St. Ann’s Church, Campfire Singers, Elaine and Friends Band, The Fraser River band, Northern Lights, Bob Wagner, The Cariboo Thunder band, Clayton, the Correlieu choir and band, In Song Youth Choir and New Beginnings Preschool have all generously sung or played instruments, much to the delight of the tenants.

Some of the groups take a well-deserved break during the summer and this creates an opportunity for others who might be interested in coming in and sharing their talent with an appreciative audience.

All ages are invited to perform, and we can flexibly schedule performances any day of the week.

Acts can call Cindy at 250-992-8342 if they are interested in sharing their music and getting to know some great people.

Cindy Paul is the recreation co-ordinator for Maeford Place Assisted Living for Seniors.
