In a gala event April 22, from a field of three, Leane Kimmie was selected as Quesnel's 2013 Volunteer Citizen of the Year. During the same event, Francine Gaetz posthumously received the Lifetime Achievement award. Two Silent Heroes were named, Marj Hessels and Norma Malic.
