The outgoing and incoming Quesnel Ambassadors were honoured during the Tuesday, Aug. 24 city council meeting.

Outgoing ambassadors Jadacia Barker, Sarah Foottit and Beth Mattioli received a plaque and roses from the city, before presenting jackets to the 2021 team.

Jaeana Dumais and Jessie Johal were there in person, but Naylene Runge (and her dad, city councillor Maritn Runge) were not able to attend the meeting.

“We’ve been so honoured to represent Quesnel this year to be able to represent Quesnel as ambassadors, and we can’t be more grateful to pass off our roles to our new 2021 ambassadors,” Mattioli said.

“We can’t wait to see the great things you guys will accomplish this year,” Foottit added.

The three ambassadors will begin appearing at events around the community representing the city.

“We’re both very excited to go into the community and make it a better place,” Dumais said.
