The Shiraoi Japan delegation arrived in Quesnel May 11.
Four adults and 14 children arrived for a six-day visit and the group was kept busy.
Students went to
Bouchie Lake elementary school with their host students for a day and a half to experience the Canadian classroom first hand. Friday afternoon the group traveled to Gavin Lake for the weekend.
Sunday afternoon everyone enjoyed a potluck dinner and barbeque for the four adults and twining members at Bruce and Colleen Brigden’s home.After dinner Marie Skinner presented signed documents to celebrate 30 years of Quesnel/Shiraoi Twining Society to the Japanese delegates.
The delegation left May 19 by bus on their way to Jasper, then returned to Japan later that week.
