For the past few weeks, Jennifer Johnson and Holly DeMerchant have been busy window painting at businesses throughout Quesnel.

The sisters and aspiring artists held a brush and colour palette while painting a camping scene at Rocky Peak Outfitters on Tuesday, July 5.

“We want to be doing this for different holidays and stuff on windows if they call us, but we’re really trying to get our foot in the door with Billy Barker Days and it’s fun,” Johnson said.

“We’re pretty excited.”

Johnson and DeMerchant have also decorated windows at Scotiabank, Butterfly Kisses by Nicki, Four Rivers Co-operative and Dragonfly Naturals.

Each painting has taken them a number of hours to complete.

They have also recently painted a mural inside the Billy Barker Days Society office at LeBourdais Park.
