Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson received a $300 donation from former Grade 7 Riverview Elementary School students Bailey Jackson, left, and Liam Inscho for the Lewis Drive Rink Refurbishment Project at the Feb. 20 council meeting.
The Grade 7 students held a “Soak a Grade 7” fundraiser, during which other students got to dump buckets of water on older students’ heads. These youth, along with Colin Ketchum of Ketchum Enterprises, donated their time to fundraise for the project.
