Sylvia's MusicFest set to feature Jaydee Bixby

Sylvia’s 8th Annual Music Festival is just around the corner, June 17 – 19 and the musical lineup has a couple of rising Canadian country stars along with well-known and well-loved local bands and a few out-of-town gems.

Headliner Jaydee Bixby performs Friday night at 9:15 p.m.

At just 20 years old, Bixby has taken over the hearts and stereos of country music fans nationwide. As a Canadian Idol alumnus, this Drumheller, Alberta native had big dreams at an early age, earning his dues performing for years at home before his breakout appearance on Idol.

With two CDs to his credit, Bixby is gaining major airplay on radio stations across Canada.

With a summer packed full of tour and festival dates Bixby is looking forward to his appearance at Sylvia’s.

“I’m very excited to be returning to Quesnel,” he said.

“It’s the first time in two years that I’ve been able to play for my fans there and I’m looking forward to showcasing my newest releases.”

Aaron Lines, also an Alberta native, haling from Fort McMurray, performs Saturday night at 9:15 p.m.
