Kersley 4-H Club cloverbud Owen Austin in one of Cariboo Ford’s fabulous mustangs invites the public to come test drive a vehicle Aug. 5 at Alex Fraser Park and help raise funds for 4-H in Quesnel.

Cariboo Ford is offering the public a chance to test drive one of eight great vehicles and support Quesnel 4-H clubs at the same time.

“We wanted to support various charities and community groups,” Cariboo Ford operations manager George McCord said.

“The Ford Company introduced this initiative last year and it was so successful, we picked a worthy community group that needed support again this year.”

Cariboo Ford will have eight vehicles on hand in Alex Fraser Park, Aug. 5 between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

This Drive one for Your Community fundraiser coincides with Quesnel and District 4-H competition, show and sale, Aug. 4 – 6 in Alex Fraxer Park agriplex.

Each test driver must sign a waiver and for every waiver signed, 4-H receives $20.

Some of the older 4-H members will be assisting with filling out the waiver forms.

Also to mark the occasion, there’ll be balloons, cotton candy, popcorn and of course cake.

This is definitely an event with something for everyone in the family. With all the 4-H livestock looking their best in the barn, lots for everyone to see and do, Alex Fraser Park is the place to be Aug. 5.

There’s never been a better time to test drive a Ford, visit 4-H in the agriplex and enjoy another great summertime attraction in the North Cariboo.

“We’d love to see the community come down, support 4-H and test drive a great vehicle,” McCord said.
