Brenda Warkentin was so excited she couldn’t sleep.
She had just heard she was the winner of a trip for two anywhere WestJet flies in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Quesnel (BBBSQ) raffle draw.
Although she and her husband, Jim Cappan, are still looking at their options, Brenda is seriously interested in a vacation to somewhere in the Caribbean.
When asked if she was usually this lucky, Brenda says she’d recently won a lot of little things on Facebook, so when she saw the BBBSQ tickets, it was something she couldn’t pass up.
“And if I didn’t win, it was for a good cause,” she adds with a big smile.
“Now, I’m on cloud nine.”
Claire Theisen won second prize, a set of luggage, and Jean Renyard won third prize of $100 gas gift card.
