Cariboo Nuggets are performing at Where the Rivers Meet Country Bluegrass Jamboree April 18 – 21.

Cariboo Nuggets is a newly formed band as of February. They however are not new to the music circle. Ellaine Simpson, rhythm/vocals has been singing and playing guitar for many years and part of a band always known as Ellaine and Friends. Lead guitar John Koback has been playing with Ellaine for two years. John joined up with Ellaine playing rhythm but over the years has learned the task of lead and is doing great. Barry O’Brien, vocals/rhythm was also known to have played with The Good Old Boys and is now in a band called Old n’ Country. His wife Cathy took up the bass and joined them and can be seen any Saturday evening playing at the Cottonwood hall. Ellaine, John, Barry and Cathy have been friends for many years and decided to form a band to see what becomes of it. With them together, you will hear some old time country favorites. Get your dancing shoes on and enjoy their music at the Where the Rivers Meet Country Bluegrass Jamboree, April 18 – 21 at the Seniors’ Centre. Tickets to the four-day event are $30/person in advance for the entire weekend and are available at Circle ‘S’ Western Wear, $35/person for the weekend at the door or $10 a day at the door.
