Hundreds of dancers performed during the Dance Festival Feb. 14-17

Hundreds of dancers from Quesnel, Prince George, Smithers and Fort St. John showcased their artistic talents in a wide variety of disciplines during this year’s Quesnel Dance Festival.

The 37th Annual Quesnel Festival of Performing Arts (QFPA) Dance Festival took place Feb. 14-17 at the Chuck Mobley Theatre and featured ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop/street, acrobatic, interpretive, tap, variety, song and dance, character national and school and community performances.

This year, Nola Antony was the ballet and modern dance adjudicator, and Samantha Schleese was the stage dance adjudicator.

Up next for the QFPA is the Vocal and Choral Festival March 9 and 10 at the Maple Park Alliance Church and the Speech and Dramatic Arts Festival April 7-9 at École Red Bluff Lhtako Elementary. A Celebration of Stars Festival Gala and Awards Ceremony celebrating all disciplines will take place in May at a time and venue to be determined.
