The Sunset Theatre in Wells kicked off a fabulous start to its 2019 season last week, and on the heels of that success, the fun continues as they launch into this Canada Day long weekend with three fabulous shows to entertain and delight.
First up is Molly’s Comedy Cabaret — a comedic romp with charismatic vocal powerhouse Molly Wilson. The Orlando Sentinel perfectly sums up Wilson’s performance: “With a vocal range as wide as Canada itself, Molly Wilson has the chops to successfully pull off the music of Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Queen and Whitney Houston, to name a few. Add to that her delightful personality, endearing stories and comedic timing, and you’ve got “Molly’s Comedy Cabaret,” an enjoyable hour with your new bestie, Molly.”
Wilson takes the Sunset stage for two nights, Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, at 8 p.m.
A tried and true favourite, The Fred Wells Show, will also grace the Sunset stage on Saturday, June 29 at 3 p.m.
Written by Danette Boucher and starring James Douglas, this beautiful play honours the man who founded Wells with both humour and poignancy.
This performance coincides with the Wells Reunion taking place this long weekend to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Wells.
Last but certainly not least, you will not want to miss the newest show by One Man Star Wars writer and performer Charlie Ross.
Ross premieres his latest creation, One Man Avengers, at the Sunset on July 1 and 2 at 8 p.m. Book your tickets today.
