Mounties in Quesnel executed a search warrant Thursday (Jan. 30) related to a firearm manufacturing investigation.

The Quesnel Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Avison Avenue in Quesnel's west side. RCMP seized 9 firearms, firearm parts, 150 cartons of contraband cigarettes, 60 grams of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, seven grams of crack cocaine, two 3D printers and around $4800 in cash.

"Due to the good work done by the Crime Reduction Unit, several firearms have been removed from the streets," said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch.

Mounties arrested a 35-year-old man who has since been released. Once RCMP finish their investigation results will be given to the BC Prosecutor's Office to determine if charges will be laid.
