City of Quesnel launches 2025 budget survey

The survey will help inform the city's budget creation process
city-hall
The date of the budget presentation will be determined in February.

Residents of Quesnel can share their feedback with the city about what they are prioritizing for the city's 2025 budget.

People who take the survey can share their level of satisfaction with services the municipal government provides and give feedback on how they would prefer the city balance the budget, a requirement of municipalities in B.C.

There is a full break-down of services the city provides that survey-takers can rate on a scale from one to five in how satisfied they are with that service. These include everything from the fire department to beautification efforts to seasonal road maintenance.

Residents can then go down that same list and rank how important each of those services are to them and if they think each of those services should receive more funding, less funding or remain the same.

The city's website states that the information people provide through the survey helps inform what will be prioritized in the year's budget. The date of the budget presentation will be determined in February.

People can take the survey at letsconnectquesnel.ca/budget-2025 or pick up print surveys at city hall. The survey closes Jan. 30.
