Info session in Bouchie Lake will touch on wildfire water delivery and structure protection systems

Want to learn more about protecting your home from wildfire?

If so, you’ll want to be at a free information session this Sunday afternoon in Bouchie Lake.

The Bouchie-Milburn Community Planning Team is hosting a Wildfire Water Delivery and Structure Protection Systems for the Home Owner information session and community barbecue Sunday, July 14. Join Al Waters, the United Way Fire Mitigation Project supervisor, for an information session that will cover topics such as FireSmarting your home and property, wildfire water delivery and structure protection systems, fire suppression equipment for the home owner, and Douglas fir bark beetle and tree species identification.

The information session, which is free to anyone to attend, will take place from 2-4 p.m. in the parking lot of the Bouchie Lake Country Store at 2338 Bonny Rd., and it will be followed by a community barbecue sponsored by Johnston-Meier Insurance.
