These impressive army trucks and their passengers stopped in at Quesnel’s Four Rivers Co-op on Highway 97 on their way north on Thursday, Aug. 31. Four Rivers Co-op has been offering free coffee to army personnel working in the region. The Canadian Military has been present in northern B.C. since late July. The Canadian Armed Forces said that military personnel, with 10 light armored vehicles, made their way to B.C. by road. They have been present all summer, assisting the RCMP in a non-enforcement capacity, and helping with land evacuations. They have been working under the guidance of the RCMP and are not armed.
