The end of January marked a successful week of crime reduction for the Quesnel RCMP.

During the past week, the Quesnel RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, with support from Quesnel General Duty units, arrested several individuals who are alleged to be responsible for property crimes in and around Quesnel.

“Our members have been out conducting targeted enforcement, following up with known offenders and have even caught individuals in the act of committing property crimes,” Quesnel RCMP Detachment Commander Staff Sgt. Andrew Burton said in a press release, noting several of these individuals were also in breach of previous court imposed conditions of their release.

Quesnel RCMP are working with the BC Prosecution Service to determine new charges for these individuals, according to the press release.

Police remind vehicle owners to remove items from plain view in their vehicles when parked and report suspicious activity immediately to the RCMP.
