Vehicle stolen, found burning near Quesnel

The Ford Ranger was reported stolen and found burning within a 12-hour timeframe

Quesnel RCMP is investigating after a vehicle was stolen and set on fire July 26.

The RCMP received a report that a grey Ford Ranger had been stolen from Wilkinson street around 6:30 a.m. July 26, RCMP Sgt. Clay Kronebusch told the Observer in an emailed statement.

The vehicle was discovered down an embankment and burning off Pinnacles Road at approximately 3:30 p.m. the same day. Bouchie Lake Fire Department put the fire out before it spread.

The RCMP investigation into the incident is ongoing, Kronebusch said.
