Salena Boehm of Williams Lake says winning $100,000 is "humbling, amazing and overwhelming."

Salena Boehm will be taking off on the trip of her dreams after winning the Grand Bingo Scratch and Win prize.

Boehm was with her mother when she found out that she won $100,000 shortly after purchasing a ticket at Save-On-Foods.

“I thought the machine was broken,” said Boehm who used a self-scanner to validate the ticket. “My mother was there with me and had to tell me it was real because it took me a while to process!”

Boehm celebrated her win by taking her parents to dinner. She is planning to use the money to pay off her home and to get a new life jacket for her dog who she takes with her on kayaking trips.

Boehm, who says the win is “humbling, amazing and overwhelming,” will also be taking the opportunity to travel to Africa on her dream vacation.
