The Quesnel Curling Club hosted its 44th annual Grey Cup bonspiel to coincide with the major football event. A dozen teams competed in the tournament including five from out of town.

The "A" event saw Justin Nillson's team from Quesnel up against Tracy Jones' team from Prince George. Nillson's three-person team included him as skip, Dave Henderson and Daryc Langlois.

Team Jones led 2-1 after four ends, but Nillson made a takeout through a small opening to score five. Jones took a gamble to try to makeup the deficit but it failed and gave Nillson a opportunity to steal two more points, giving them an 8-2 win.

The "B" event saw team Eric Eriksson of Quesnel up against Carl Haugland's team from Prince George.

The game went back and forth with several lead changes throughout the match. Without last rock, Haugland was up by one but Eriksson was unable to make the takeout and lost 8-6.

The "C" event had a Quesnel versus Quesnel match with Gord Russell's team against Colorado Marr's team. The more experienced Russell team made short work of the Marr team and took a 7-1 win.

The club also completed the first round robin of its weekly sponsor league Wednesday (Nov. 20).

Fresno Construction beat CDC 6-4 after Fresno kept CDC from getting to the button.

Fix Auto went up against Northwind Refrigeration, battling back and forth the two came to an 8-8 tie with both teams' skips making key shots to save their team.

In a game where Redz Shedz held the cards most of the night and force Billy Barker to go all in on most ends, the Redz Shedz team took a 6-2 win.

Redz Shedz and Fresno Construction both have four wins and one loss, CDC has three wins and a loss, Billy Barker has two wins and three losses, Northwind has no wins, three losses and a tie, Fix auto has no wins, four losses and a tie.
