Quesnel hosts U15 hockey provs

West Fraser Centre whistling with hockey action for nine teams

B.C. has dropped in to drop the puck in Quesnel.

On the heels of the Lhtako Quesnel BC Winter Games, now it is the sport of hockey’s turn to come from all over the province to the Heart of Gold City. Quesnel Minor Hockey is now hosting the U15 Tier 3 B.C. Championship.

The tournament runs March 17-20 with the medal games on Wednesday scheduled for 8 a.m. (1st in Division A playing second in Division B), 11 a.m. (1st in Division B playing 2nd in Division A), 5 p.m. (bronze medal game), and 8 p.m. (gold medal game).

Quesnel’s home games are scheduled for Sunday 10:45 a.m. vs. Kelowna and 8 p.m. vs. Nelson, Monday at 7 p.m. vs. Terrace, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. vs. Sunshine Coast, then possible playoffs.

Teams are coming from Prince George, New Westminster, Kelowna, Dawson Creek, Powell River, Sunshine Coast, Terrace, Nelson, and the host Quesnel Thunder.

All games are scheduled for West Fraser Centre.
