Tossing teddies on Quesnel ice

Annual charity support game hosted by Roos

Toys and other Christmas items were flung from the stands to the ice as soon as the Quesnel Kangaroos scored their first goal of the annual Teddy Bear Toss game, held on Dec. 2, for the benefit of local charities. (Tracey Roberts photo - Quesnel Cariboo Observer)

The game was intense on Dec. 2 between the visiting Prince Rupert Rampage and the hometown Quesnel Kangaroos. The Rampage snuck through with a 3-2 victory despite being outshot by the Roos 43-21. (Tracey Roberts photo - Quesnel Cariboo Observer)

Tayler Bennett and Lane Wiggins, two Quesnel teens recently killed together in a car crash, were honoured by their hometown Quesnel Kangaroos with a banner celebrating their athletic spirit, Bennett primarily in softball and Wiggins primarily in hockey.
