The Observer spoke to Mayor Bob Simpson after he voted this afternoon in the City of Quesnel municipal election.
Simpson says he’s hoping for a council that can “roll up their sleeves and work hard as council members to test their leadership on certain issues and initiatives on council, and to potentially position themselves to take over the leadership of the city four years from now.”
Simpson says this next term is planned as his final term as mayor of Quesnel.
