13 trustee hopefuls declared for Quesnel School District

The extended nomination period closed 4 p.m. Sept. 12

The Quesnel School District has more than enough candidates after extending the nomination period by a day in this year’s local government election.

The extended nomination period closed at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, with 13 candidates filing their nomination forms to seek a trustee position with the Board of Education.

In a news release, Quesnel School District Chief Election Officer, Jennifer Woollends declared the following candidates have been nominated:

  • Honey Affleck
  • Ted Bosman
  • Lisa Boudreau
  • Katie Bowell
  • David Chapman (incumbent)
  • Donelly Clement
  • Cory Delves
  • Tony Goulet (incumbent)
  • Melissa Huska
  • Wendy Mahoney (incumbent)
  • Cheri Maisonneuve
  • Julie-Anne Runge (incumbent)
  • Heidi Tims

The Quesnel Board of Education consists of seven trustees serving a four-year term.

General voting day is Saturday, Oct. 15.
