The Quesnel School District has more than enough candidates after extending the nomination period by a day in this year’s local government election.
The extended nomination period closed at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, with 13 candidates filing their nomination forms to seek a trustee position with the Board of Education.
In a news release, Quesnel School District Chief Election Officer, Jennifer Woollends declared the following candidates have been nominated:
- Honey Affleck
- Ted Bosman
- Lisa Boudreau
- Katie Bowell
- David Chapman (incumbent)
- Donelly Clement
- Cory Delves
- Tony Goulet (incumbent)
- Melissa Huska
- Wendy Mahoney (incumbent)
- Cheri Maisonneuve
- Julie-Anne Runge (incumbent)
- Heidi Tims
The Quesnel Board of Education consists of seven trustees serving a four-year term.
General voting day is Saturday, Oct. 15.
