Baker Drive house fire in Quesnel brings two departments

A house fire on Baker Drive brought the Quesnel Fire-Rescue Department to the scene on the west side of the river. The West Fraser Volunteer Fire Department came to help ona mutual aid basis. The alarm sounded just past 8:45 p.m. on Sunday (Aug 6).

This fire occurred in a residential area with several other homes and structures in the close vicinity. No other adjacent structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Observer will update the community as soon as more information becomes known.
