About 30 people in 20 cars rolled into Quesnel to roll the dice at the Billy Barker Casino and see the sights of the Goldpan City.
The group was in town as part of the regular slate of events of the RCS Autohaus auto enthusiast group from the Lower Mainland. The initials stand for Rallies, Charities and Shows and this trip was for the middle one. Participants had to buy their way into the convoy and the proceeds went to BC Sick Kids’ Foundation.
“We do car rallies and events with club members and guest drivers to different towns to explore more new driving roads, and create more awareness for the charity and our business sponsors and partners at the same time,” said Quoc Pham, one of the group’s leaders. “As car enthusiasts, we enjoy the driving aspect, seeing new towns, and different roads, and of course supporting local businesses and creating more awareness.”
They took time to tour the city, including a stop in at the museum and visitor centre.
In two weeks the group will head down a different highway headed for Calgary.
