The Quesnel Fire Department responded to an early morning structure fire just to the south of the West Fraser Timber Park around midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 5.

A fire had broken out on Redstone Road, which is just off of Plywood Road.

The road was only plowed to a single lane, appearing to make extinguishing efforts difficult. The temperature was also -22 degrees C while firefighters worked to stop the fire.

Police, ambulance, and BC Hydro crews also responded.

There is no word on injuries or damage.

The property is the same location as a January 2020 fire which completely destroyed a mobile home.
