The staff of Frank’s Supermarket on Hydraulic Road have even more reason to smile every day.

The Quesnel grocery store providing various goods from ice cream to fishing and hunting gear says it has made one lucky shopper a millionaire.

“We just got notification from the lottery corporation that our store sold the winning ticket for 1 million dollars in Quesnel,” Frank’s Supermarket posted Tuesday, Feb. 1 on Facebook

The ticket won the guaranteed $1 million prize for the Lotto 6/49 draw on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021.

“We’re all really excited—we’re excited to see who we sold the ticket to and who actually sold the ticket,” said cashier Connor Jones.

“I would definitely encourage anyone to check any unchecked tickets and maybe there might be a million dollars in someone’s pocket.”

Prizes must be claimed within one year following the draw date, BCLC notes on its website.
