The Fraser River at Quesnel was downgraded from Flood Watch to High Streamflow Advisory on May 20.

THe Nazko and West Road Rivers (Blackwater) were also downgraded, with the High Streamflow Advisory ending.

The River Forecast Centre says easing temperatures and dwindling snow packs in areas has seen stabilization of many rivers through the region. River levels remain high in rivers fed by lake systems, including the Nautley River system.

Other areas are expected to see generally stable or improving flows over the next few days. Hot temperatures are forecast to return into next week, and additional river rises are expected in the middle or later part of next week.
