Hammerstrom awaits verdict

A pre-sentence report for Angeline Hammerstrom is slated for Nov. 7 in Quesnel Supreme Court.

Eric Falloon and Angeline Hammerstrom were charged with a list of offenses after RCMP attended G.R. Baker Oct. 1, 2009 and spoke to a man who claimed he had been stabbed several times and shot at. The victim said he was forced into a vehicle at a local hotel by people he knew.

The victim then claimed he was taken out into the bush where he was stabbed several times and shot at as he was running away.

The victim was able to get away and ran into a bush. He was eventually found in the daylight on the 1300 road by two forestry workers and taken to hospital.

RCMP arrested Falloon and Hammerstrom on the West Side, Oct. 2, 2009 at 6 p.m. Both the male and the female were arrested for aggravated assault, kidnapping and firearm offenses.

The male was also found in possession of a large amount of crack cocaine. Both suspects are known to the Quesnel RCMP Drug Section.

Warrants were executed on the suspects residence, the vehicle was also searched.

Falloon plead guilty in March and was sentenced to one-year jail.

Joy ride

May 28 RCMP responded to a break and enter at the Quesnel Golf Course.

Suspects forcefully entered the golf cart shed and proceeded to take the carts for a joy ride. Suspects caused damage to several areas of the golf course, including the greens, flower beds and fences.

Extensive damage was also caused to all of the golf carts. The carts were recovered in an empty lot, approximately two kilometres from the golf course.
