Low visibility in Quesnel due to fog

Residents can’t see across the Fraser River on Oct. 21

Quesnel residents woke up on Thursday, Oct. 21 to low visibility due to a thick fog.

While no weather alerts were issued by Environment Canada, visibility was limited to only a few blocks in downtown Quesnel. The fog was thick enough anyone standing on the banks of the Fraser River could not see to the other side.

According to ICBC low beams or fog lights should be used while driving in heavy fog.

Environment Canada predicts the fog to lift later in the day, with sunny skies and a high of 13 degrees.
