A 41-year-old male is in police custody following a bank robbery in Quesnel.
Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, Quesnel RCMP received a report of a bank robbery. Staff at the Scotiabank called 911 after a lone male entered the bank, demanded money and quickly fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Members of the Quesnel RCMP were in the area and apprehended the suspect within minutes - less than one block away.
The man was arrested for robbery and will remain in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
