MEET THE CANDIDATE: School District 28 trustee candidate David Chapman

The Quesnel Observer asked all SD28 candidates the same four questions. They were limited to 300 words.

Donelly Clement declined to participate, while the remaining 12 candidates provided answers to these questions: A. Can you tell us a bit about yourself? B. What prompted you to run for school board? C. What do you feel are some of the challenges/concerns facing School District 28? D. How do you plan to address those challenges? E. What are a few fun facts about yourself?

A. I have been elected and re-elected a total of five times. Total time on the Board is 17 years.

B. I believe that education is the great “equalizer” for all school children.

C. Ensuring all children be the best that they can be. All need to feel school is a welcoming place.

D. Encourage all staff to ensure that school is a safe and welcoming place.

E. I have been a trustee for a long time. I still enjoy the work and look forward to continuing challenges.
