Off-road UTV incident claims one life south of Quesnel

A 52-year-old woman died following a UTV crash on Monday, July 3, said Quesnel RCMP.

At approximately 7:36 p.m., Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of a UTV crash in the Blue Lake area off Moffatt Lake Road in the Kersley area. The woman who died was the passenger in the vehicle. The driver suffered minor injuries. Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the collision and the investigation is ongoing, said police.

“We urge the public to use caution when operating off-road vehicles,” says Sgt. Clay Kronebusch of the Quesnel RCMP.

No further information was released by police.
