Shoppers were on edge late Wednesday morning (Oct. 12) as the Quesnel RCMP had their weapons drawn at an apartment complex near Save-On-Foods at West Park Mall.
One man was arrested after officers surrounded the green-coloured building across from the grocery store and climbed the brown stairs to the upper-level unit.
Quesnel RCMP media relations officer Sgt. Clay Kronebusch said before 10 a.m., police responded to a report of a man who was possibly in possession of a firearm.
He was taken into custody without incident.
“The investigation is ongoing,” Kronebusch said.
No further information is available at this time.
