The victim of a shooting in Williams Lake Friday night (Oct. 29) remains in critical condition, said RCMP Wednesday (Nov. 3).

In an update to the Tribune, Mounties said the investigation into the shooting of the 22-year-old man remains under investigation and no arrests have been made. Police are appealing to the public for any information or dashcam footage in relation to the crime.

There was a heavy police presence in the area of Carson Drive Saturday morning, Oct. 30 as police investigated the overnight shooting.

Cpl. Brett Squire of the Williams Lake RCMP said police were called to a report of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound inside an apartment in the 600 block of Carson Drive.

“Frontline officers responded immediately, securing the area and providing first aid. One individual was transported to hospital with serious injuries,” Squire noted in a news release at the time.

The Williams Lake RCMP are asking the public, should they have observed any suspicious activity in the area overnight, to contact them at (250) 392-6211.
