Osisko Development released a short video showing its proposed mine site for the Cariboo Gold Project near Wells, which it says will integrate with the surrounding environment and prioritize community and environmental considerations.

The company said they have used community feedback to influence the design of the site. Two of the changes made from their original proposed design based on feedback are painting the buildings with natural tones and preserving and planting vegetation to keep Wells' natural beauty intact. The other change is trying to reduce impact on Wells by making the buildings smaller than initially planned and trying to ensure noise and light pollution are minimal.

The company said the rendering is still subject to change and thanked everyone who has given feedback.

People can give additional feedback by reaching out via email to feedback@osiskodev.com or through the Cariboo Gold Project's website's contact button.

Those interested can watch the video at www.cariboogold.com/news-and-events.

The project is expected to bring around 500 new jobs and produce about 1.87 million ounces of gold.
