PHOTOS: Remembrance Day draws large crowd in Quesnel

A parade marched from the Legion to the cenotaph

Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Quesnel near the cenotaph on Friday, Nov. 11, to remember and honour those who served Canada.

Sections of Kinchant Street, Barlow Avenue and McLean Street were closed as a parade marched from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 94 after 10:30 a.m. to the cenotaph where there was the singing of O Canada and God Save the King.

The Remembrance Day ceremony ended with the laying of wreaths on which many people placed their poppies.
