Shortly after 11 a.m. today (Friday, Aug. 9) Quesnel RCMP received a report of a single-engine plane crash at Quesnel Airport.
The small two seater propeller plane crashed on the runway causing injury to the pilot who was taken to hospital where he is being treated for non life threatening head injuries. The other occupant did not suffer any significant injury.
The runway was re-opened to flight traffic within one hour of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
