Areas around Quesnel are without power after strong wind gusts have toppled trees on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
One outage has left 1,300 people from Quesnel and Wells without power.

Updates to the power outages will be posted on BC Hydro’s website.
A 60-foot tree on Quesnel-Hydraulic Road was also felled, but it luckily did not land on any power lines.
City crews and RCMP were on the scene just before noon to begin removing the tree.
Wind gusts of up to 50 km/h are forecasted for Quesnel for the entire day, running into the evening, according to Environment Canada.
Temperatures are predicted to remain stable throughout the week, with no daytime high below zero degrees forecasted and no nighttime low below -6 degrees predicted for Quesnel.
