Prince George RCMP looking for witnesses following pedestrian-involved collision

A woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries after the incident Sunday morning

The Prince George RCMP are looking for witnesses to come forward, following a pedestrian-involved collision on Sunday (March 17), which resulted in a woman being transported to hospital with critical injuries.

According to a press release from the Prince George RCMP, an adult female was removed from under a full-size pickup truck following the collision, which occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Ahbau Street.

The driver, a 68-year-old male and Prince George resident, remained on the scene and co-operated with the police.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident, according to the RCMP.

The press release states the investigation is just beginning, and the police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
