Quesnel Cariboo Observer prices rising on April 1

A newsstand edition of the Observer will now cost $1.50

For the first time since 2010, the Quesnel Observer’s newsstand price will be going up.

An edition of the newspaper will cost $1.50 beginning on April 6. A newspaper in 2000 cost $1 plus tax, and the price was increased to $1.19 plus tax in 2010. In 2011 an edition of the paper cost $1.34 with tax, before dropping to $1.30 in 2014.

The cost of an annual subscription is also going up. A subscription delivered by carrier will cost $52.50, a subscription by mail will cost $73.50. An online-only subscription also costs $52.50.

Seniors 65 or older get 10 per cent off any Quesnel Observer subscription.
