Saturday is market day.
The Quesnel Farmers’ Market is one of the weekend highlights of agriculture season, starting May 6 and running to Oct. 14 inclusively. Each Saturday edition runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Helen Dixon Center grounds on the corner of Kinchant Street and Carson Avenue.
This is the 35th anniversary year for the QFM.
Here are some of the key dates to plan with. New updates are will happen throughout spring, summer and fall as the growing seasons change, artisans and growers take their turns selling their wares, and other special features are added into the Saturday festivities like musicians and other entertainers.
May 6th – FIRST DAY of the 2023 Market
July 1st – CANADA DAY AT THE MARKET
August 26th – EVERYTHING GARLIC DAY
September 16th – CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY to celebrate our 35th Anniversary
October 7th – GIANT PUMPKIN CONTEST WEIGH-IN
October 14th – LAST DAY of the 2023 Outdoor Market
November 25th – 1st INDOOR CHRISTMAS MARKET
December 2nd – 2nd INDOOR CHRISTMAS MARKET
December 9th – 3rd INDOOR CHRISTMAS MARKET
