Quesnel firefighters respond to Easter Sunday grassfire

The Quesnel Fire Department was kept busy on Easter Sunday, April 17.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a small wildfire just before 3 p.m. along a residential property on Quesnel-Hydraulic Road. The fire was on a piece of land a few miles past the Dragon Lake boat launch.

At least four trucks responded to the blaze, with firefighters working to extinguish small patches of fire across the area. The cause of the fire is unknown.
