After a half-year of closures, Quesnel’s library will be open to the public again later this month.
The Cariboo Regional District Library’s Quesnel branch will be back open Thursday, Sept. 24, according to a post on their Facebook page.
Opening hours will be restricted as staff ramps up their usual cleaning regimen. The curbside pickups and digital resources will continue to be available for people uncomfortable with in-person interactions.
“The cornerstone of our re-opening safety plan is physical distancing,” the Facebook post reads. “We ask that you do not visit the library if you are sick or are in isolation.”
All libraries in the district were closed on March 17 due to COVID-19. They’ve been slowly opening up across the region.
