Quesnel RCMP bust grow-op

At approximately 10 a.m., May 12,  investigators of the Cariboo Region Integrated Marijuana Enforcement Task Force, the RCMP’s Federal Drug Enforcement Branch and the Quesnel RCMP executed a search warrant pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Approximately 40.8 kg (90 lbs) of marijuana bud and approximately 2,000 plants were seized from a Grevatt Road property located off the Nazko Highway near Quesnel.

A 36-year-old male, a 58-year-old male and a 50-year-old female were arrested and face charges of Production of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.  They are scheduled to appear in Quesnel Provincial Court on July 26.

This action demonstrates the RCMP’s continued commitment to taking drugs off the streets of the communities they serve.
